Our History
West Tower
Standing at 140 metres (40-stories) high, West Tower, is Liverpools tallest building and 45th in all of the United Kingdom, with views spanning the city, Merseyside and a s far as North Wales and Blackpool Tower. Work began back in 2005 and completed. Built by Beetham Organisation, the skyscraper was originally intended solely for luxury apartments plus four penthouse suites and office spaces. It wasn’t until work on the skyscraper was almost completed, that Hugh Frost, Beethams CEO had the bright idea of having a restaurant on the 34th floor.
Panoramic 34
Panoramic 34 opened its doors to the public in 2008, under the ownership of Hugh Frost and the stewardship of Sarah Corcoran, Hugh’s sister-in-law. The goal of the restaurant was to match the breath-taking views with even better food and after 14 years of serving the people of Liverpool, the UK and further afield, we like to think we have. Back in 2011, Hugh decided to hand the reigns over to his wife Cathy. In the 14 years we have been open, Panoramic 34 has seen everything from the Three Queens, to the Giants, from victory parades to pandemics. We have seen a lot in our time and lets hope we see plenty more.
